Capi the capybara, mildly disappointed

A capybara that judges your screen time.

Set a daily limit. Capi watches how it goes and reacts — happy, disappointed, devastated. He never yells. That is worse, and you know it.

Guilt, but make it adorable

He counts your hours

Capi reads your screen time on your device through Apple's Screen Time framework. Nothing ever leaves your phone.

He reacts

Under your limit, he is happy. Over it, disappointed. Way over it, he lies down and refuses to look at you.

He never yells

Calm, slightly passive-aggressive judgment. Which, as everyone knows, is far more effective than an alarm.

A plan, with receipts

Set a daily limit, then watch your week: your average, your best day, your worst day and your streak.

76

days a year

That is what 5 hours a day on your phone adds up to. Not hours — whole days, awake, looking at a screen. See the maths. Capi shows you your own number the first time you open the app.

Questions

How does Capi measure my screen time?

Through Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework, with your permission. The count is processed on your device and stored only there. Capi has no servers, no account and no login.

Is Capi free?

Yes. The free version counts your screen time, judges you once a day and tracks your daily limit. Capi Premium ($2.99/week or $19.99/year, 3-day free trial) adds a judgment every hour, your full history, and every mood.

Does Capi block apps?

No. Capi does not block, shield or restrict anything. He just makes sure you know exactly how it is going. Guilt does the rest.

Is my data sold or shared?

No. Your screen time never leaves your phone. There is nothing to sell, and nobody to share it with.

What is the deal with the hats?

A pineapple, an orange, a strawberry hat and a small turtle. One-time purchases, yours forever. A capybara simply looks better with something on its head.
